Hollow Knight: Silksong has remained one of gaming's most anticipated titles for years.  Six years have passed since the sequel's announcement, with news remaining frustratingly scarce.

Despite the information drought, recent weeks have offered tantalizing hints of a potential breakthrough.  Xbox highlighted Silksong in its 2025 upcoming releases showcase,  with rumors circulating about a June Xbox Game Pass launch. Now,  two intriguing changes to the game's Steam backend, one of which is the first since its announcement, suggest a significant shift may be underway.

Reddit users spotted the updates. Firstly, the Steam page now lists GeForce Now support. While not inherently revealing, the timing of this addition is noteworthy.  More importantly, SteamDB records show the game's copyright information has been updated from "Team Cherry 2019" (the year of announcement) to "Team Cherry 2025" - that's right, this year.

The long-awaiting Silksong community has erupted with excitement.  The Hollow Knight and Silksong subreddits are buzzing with discussion, with players proclaiming that "this is it."  User DetailFew1846 commented,  "First copyright update in six years, plus cloud gaming support now added? Surely that points to an impending release?" Theotherjashlash added,  "Guys, I feel something shifting within me... I'm starting... to believe."

With the upcoming Nintendo Direct and the summer game announcement season just two months away, the unveiling of Hollow Knight: Silksong feels closer than ever.
