The world of Revachol is coming to your pocket.  ZA/UM has announced that a reimagined version of their hit RPG, Disco Elysium, will be released exclusively on Android devices in Summer 2025.  Players can pre-register now on Google Play to be notified of the official launch date.

This isn't simply a port of the original game.  ZA/UM has stated that the mobile version is designed to attract a new generation of players, particularly those familiar with shorter, mobile-friendly gameplay experiences. This reimagined Disco Elysium promises to be optimized for quick play sessions, allowing players to jump in and out whenever they have a spare moment.

The initial release will include the first two chapters for free, giving players a taste of the game's unique mechanics and captivating narrative.  Purchasing the full game unlocks the complete story, allowing players to unravel the mystery at the heart of Revachol and explore the depths of their amnesiac detective's psyche.

For those unfamiliar with the original, Disco Elysium follows a detective struggling with amnesia brought on by substance abuse.  Tasked with solving a murder, he navigates the intricate world of Revachol alongside his partner, Kim Kitsuragi.  Known for its dialogue-heavy gameplay, intricate world-building, and memorable characters, Disco Elysium offers a unique RPG experience unlike any other.

The original PC release of Disco Elysium was followed by The Final Cut, which brought the game to consoles including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.  The Final Cut expanded upon the original with full voice acting for the entire cast, additional music, and new artwork.

While the mobile version aims to be a fresh take on the Disco Elysium experience, it's likely to retain the core elements that made the original so compelling. The deep narrative, complex character interactions, and thought-provoking themes are expected to remain central to the mobile experience.

Former developers from ZA/UM have also branched out, forming two new studios. One of these studios is currently developing a spiritual successor to Disco Elysium, though details remain scarce.

ZA/UM themselves are also working on a new project, codenamed C4.  Described as a spy espionage game, C4 will be set in a completely different universe than Disco Elysium. No platforms or release window have been announced for this intriguing new title.

The mobile release of Disco Elysium marks a significant step in making this acclaimed RPG accessible to a wider audience. With its adapted gameplay and free-to-start model, it presents a compelling entry point for newcomers while offering a fresh perspective for returning fans.
