Epic Games has unleashed a monstrous new collaboration in Fortnite, partnering with the popular anime and manga series, Monster #8 (Kaiju No. 8).  Players can now acquire a range of cosmetic items based on the hit franchise.

The limited-time Monster #8 items are available in the in-game store until February 1st.  The collection includes character skins inspired by the anime, along with pickaxe designs, back bling, and emotes.

Monster #8, created by Naoya Matsumoto, began as a manga series on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ platform in July 2020.  The story follows Kafka Hibino, a man working a monster cleanup job in a Japan ravaged by giant creatures.  Having dreamt since childhood of joining the Defense Force, Kafka gets a second chance at his ambition when a bizarre incident transforms him into the titular “Monster #8.” Now possessing monstrous powers, he joins the fight against the kaiju menace alongside the very Defense Force he once aspired to join.  The manga was then adapted into a TV anime, which premiered in 2024.
