The upcoming release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 has been met with excitement, but also its share of surprises.  Initially, reports indicated that Bam Margera, a prominent figure in the original games, would be absent from the remake.  This omission was speculated to be related to controversies surrounding Margera's personal life and career.

However, a recent report from VGC, citing The Nine Club podcast, suggests a dramatic turn of events. According to the report, Tony Hawk himself contacted Activision, demanding Margera's inclusion despite reported pushback from the publisher. This alleged intervention reportedly came after the game was already finalized, potentially requiring additional work from developer Iron Galaxy.

This unexpected inclusion has injected further intrigue into the already highly anticipated release. Margera's presence in the original Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 and 4 games, combined with his popularity from MTV shows like Jackass and Viva La Bam, made him a fan favorite. His absence would have been a notable omission for many players.

Margera's personal struggles, including reported substance abuse issues and legal troubles, have been widely publicized.  His dismissal from Jackass Forever in 2021 following a restraining order filed by Jeff Tremaine further fueled public discussion around his behavior.  These incidents, coupled with past legal issues, likely contributed to the initial decision to exclude him from the game.

The apparent last-minute inclusion of Margera isn't the only surprise. The Digital Deluxe Edition of the game features the return of Doom Slayer and the arrival of Revenant, adding a unique crossover element to the skateboarding title.
