LEGO Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy Gets Trophy Update on PS4 and PS5

The beloved LEGO Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy has received a welcome update on PS4 and PS5, introducing a brand-new trophy list for players to unlock.

This fan-favorite title, which joined the PS Plus Premium catalog in 2024 alongside other classic LEGO games, initially lacked trophy support.  While most PS Plus Premium additions typically include trophies, often updating older games to support the feature, LEGO Star Wars 2 was a notable exception upon its June 2024 release. This new update rectifies that omission.

This PlayStation-exclusive update adds 30 achievements to the PS4 and PS5 versions of LEGO Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy.  These achievements primarily focus on key in-game milestones, such as unlocking all characters and vehicles, and completing levels.  Earning the platinum trophy requires unlocking all 30 achievements.

None of the new achievements present particularly unusual challenges; they mainly revolve around completing levels and unlocking content.  While this might disappoint some players seeking more intricate challenges, the mere addition of achievements to a game of this age is a welcome enhancement for many. This update follows the February PS Plus game drop, which also featured titles with newly added achievement support.  Adding trophy/achievement support seems to be a priority for games released on PS Plus, both new and old.

It remains uncertain whether other PS Plus titles will receive similar trophy support updates. However, several classic games have already benefited from such additions, including Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, setting a precedent for future updates.
