Following comments from its Vice President of Finance that sparked speculation about Grand Theft Auto 6's PC release window, Corsair has issued a clarification. With fans eagerly awaiting the game's arrival on all platforms after a decade-long wait since GTA 5, any hint about the release timeline generates significant buzz.

During a February 2025 earnings call, Corsair's Finance VP, Ronald van Veen, suggested a potential early 2026 PC release for GTA 6.  This timeline seemed unusually fast given the historical trend of PC ports lagging behind console releases by six months or more.  The lack of official communication from Rockstar Games regarding the PC version led many to believe Corsair possessed insider knowledge.

However, a Corsair representative clarified to IGN that van Veen's statement was purely speculative. The company confirmed it has no insider information from Rockstar or Take-Two Interactive regarding GTA 6's PC launch.  The only certainty remains that the PC version will follow the console release, a standard practice for GTA titles according to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick. This strategy prioritizes console sales, which traditionally drive initial revenue, before expanding to the PC market.

Corsair's clarification puts to rest the rumors of an accelerated PC release. Given that Grand Theft Auto 5 took over a year and a half to reach PC after its console debut, an early 2026 release for GTA 6, following a targeted Fall 2025 console launch, seemed overly optimistic. While the PC gaming market has grown significantly since then, other Take-Two titles like Civilization 7 have bucked the trend with simultaneous PC and console releases, making it difficult to predict GTA 6's PC launch strategy.
