The Epic Games Store has announced its next free game offering: Botanicula, available from Thursday, April 17. As part of its weekly tradition, the Epic Games Store updates its free game lineup every Thursday at 10am CT, giving players a heads-up about upcoming freebies. However, the latest update initially missed announcing a full free game for the week of April 17, focusing only on bonus content for Firestone Online Idle RPG. This has since been corrected, and gamers can now look forward to claiming Botanicula for free.

Last week's update included free content for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms and Arcadegeddon, alongside the free game River City Girls. While the Firestone Online Idle RPG content was confirmed for April 17–24, the absence of a free game announcement caused some confusion. Fortunately, Epic has clarified that Botanicula will be the featured free game during that period.

Botanicula, the charming adventure game about tree creatures saving their home tree's last seed, will be free on the Epic Games Store from April 17 to April 24. Originally released in 2012, Botanicula received positive reviews and finally arrived on the Epic Games Store in 2023. Alongside this, players can also claim exclusive in-game content for Firestone Online Idle RPG during the same period.

Epic Games Store users typically receive advance notice for PC free games, so expect an announcement about the April 24 freebies when Botanicula becomes available.
