GSC Game World recently announced that their highly anticipated title, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, has surpassed 6 million players.

While the 6 million player figure represents a significant achievement for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, it doesn't directly translate to 6 million copies sold.  This is because the game launched on Game Pass, granting access to subscribers without requiring a separate purchase.  The game officially released on November 20, 2024, for PC and Xbox Series X|S.

Developed and published by Ukrainian studio GSC Game World using Unreal Engine 5, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl marks a long-awaited return to the series, following 2009's Call of Pripyat after a 14-year hiatus.

Players venture into the vast and dangerous Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, facing a myriad of threats. From deadly anomalies to powerful artifacts, the Zone holds countless mysteries waiting to be uncovered.  Players must fight against hostile factions and mutated creatures while navigating the treacherous landscape.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 promises a unique and compelling narrative, challenging players to forge their own path.
