Arrowhead Game Studios has released another hotfix for their cooperative shooter, Helldivers 2. This latest patch, version 01.002.106, focuses on squashing a persistent crash related to the Spore Burst Gloom Bugs, a recently added subfaction of the insectoid Terminid enemies.

This follows a recent update that tasked players with defending the Umlaut Sector planet Fenrir III from these terrifying creatures. That prior patch, version 01.002.105, also included several bug and crash fixes, demonstrating the developer's commitment to quickly addressing issues and improving the player experience.

The Spore Burst Gloom Bugs were reportedly causing consistent crashes, particularly when large numbers were eliminated quickly.  While the patch notes for 01.002.106 don't detail the technical specifics of the fix, the rapid response is commendable.  This marks the fifth update for the PC version of Helldivers 2 in February 2025 alone, highlighting the ongoing support the game is receiving.
