Infinity Nikki players will soon experience a preview of the highly anticipated dye system in the upcoming Version 1.3 update, featuring the new Bullquet Care Day event.  While the game's December 2024 launch is recent, developers have been actively expanding its features. Players can anticipate increased outfit slots in 1.3, and the team is diligently working on additions like a housing system.

Version 1.3 may not be as extensive as 1.2, but it still offers substantial content, including a new dungeon, character banners, and several events.  The update continues the unfolding narrative of Wishfield, the first region Nikki explores in Miraland, with a new Exclusive Quest delving into the cursed ruins of Queen Philomia.  However, the highlight of 1.3 is undoubtedly the Bullquet Care Day event and its glimpse into the future of outfit customization.

Infold Games has also revealed significant quality-of-life improvements and optimizations planned for Version 1.3 and beyond.  Detailed on the official Infinity Nikki website, the Bullquet Care Day event centers around the titular Bullquet, a magical creature found in the woods south of the Breezy Meadows. This creature provides a unique type of felt, currently used for only one clothing item in the game. The event tasks players with revitalizing a sluggish Bullquet through a makeover, effectively giving Nikki the chance to practice her dyeing skills.

The Bullquet Care Day event runs from February 25th to March 25th, 2025. It features "Care Notes" and "Color-changing Tales"—three World Quests and three Random Quests, respectively. These storylines allow players to experiment with color-changing mechanics using Soothing Aroma Vials. Following Aroma Formulas to combine ingredients, players can dye the Bullquet in a variety of colors, suggesting the possibility of crafting dyes before applying them to clothing in the full dye system.

While an official release date for the dye system remains undisclosed, Infold Games aims for a Spring 2025 launch. With the developer's roadmap including two new regions annually and the housing system slated for the Wishfield patch cycle, players have much to look forward to.  Version 1.3 itself is set to launch on February 25th, 2025.
