Recent reports indicate a price hike for Nintendo Switch games in Latin America.  While this regional change hasn't affected the global market, whispers suggest a potential global price adjustment for Nintendo Switch 2 games.

According to "Centro Leaks," a prominent source for Pokémon-related leaks, Nintendo Switch 2 games are expected to be priced at $70. This would match the standard price point for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S games.

Centro Leaks previously reported that the Nintendo Switch 2 would feature a larger screen.  This claim seemingly gained validity through a subsequent Nintendo announcement showcasing the console's increased dimensions, suggesting Centro Leaks may have access to legitimate pre-release information.

Historically, Nintendo's game pricing has remained below that of other contemporary consoles, often retailing at $60 instead of $70. However,  escalating development costs could lead the company to adjust its pricing strategy in line with industry trends.

Nintendo has demonstrated pricing flexibility in the past.  Several first-party titles are available for $50, with the majority priced at $60, and only a handful exceeding $70. Notable exceptions exist, like Ring Fit Adventure, which retailed for $80 due to its bundled hardware.

Even if Nintendo does implement a price increase, it's likely they will continue to offer a tiered pricing structure based on individual game offerings. To date, the company has not officially confirmed any price adjustments.
