GTA 6 Second Trailer Rumored for Early April Release

2025-03-08 01:00:40

The gaming world is buzzing with anticipation for the second trailer of Grand Theft Auto 6.  A recent rumor from a reliable source indicates that the trailer could arrive as early as April, marking over 480 days since the first glimpse of the game in December 2023.  With a Fall 2025 release window, this timing aligns with Rockstar Games' usual marketing strategy, which typically begins around six months prior to launch.

The extended silence from Rockstar Games following the initial trailer has fueled numerous fan theories regarding the release date of the second trailer.  One popular, yet ultimately debunked, theory involved deciphering moon phases seen in promotional material for Grand Theft Auto Online. However, a new and seemingly more credible theory has emerged, suggesting an April release for the trailer.

GTA VI O'Clock, a collective of respected Grand Theft Auto content creators and journalists, has reported receiving credible tips pointing towards an early April release for the second trailer.  This aligns with the typical six-month pre-release marketing window observed for major Rockstar Games releases.  This news comes as a relief to fans who have been speculating about potential delays, especially given the long silence between trailers.

Concerns regarding a potential delay for Grand Theft Auto 6 have been circulating among fans.  However, Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games' parent company, recently reaffirmed the Fall 2025 release window, instilling confidence in the game's timely arrival.  While acknowledging the possibility of slippage, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed confidence in Rockstar Games' ability to deliver on schedule.

While the precise release date remains undisclosed, the release window of Borderlands 4, another Take-Two Interactive title, has led to speculation about a late October/early November release for Grand Theft Auto 6.  Given that both games are under the Take-Two umbrella, it is unlikely they would be released in close proximity, leading many to believe Grand Theft Auto 6 will follow Borderlands 4's September 2025 launch.
