Marvel Rivals Celebrates 60th Anniversary with New Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic Skins

Marvel Rivals is commemorating the 60th anniversary of Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic with stylish new skins, set to launch on February 13th at 6 PM PST. These anniversary skins follow earlier releases for both characters – The Maker skin for Mister Fantastic, showcasing his villainous alternate persona, and the sinister Malice skin for Invisible Woman.

Introduced in Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, Sue Storm (Invisible Woman) and Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic) have become integral members of the Marvel Rivals roster. Sue is a key Strategist, utilizing her powers to heal allies, deploy shields, and even cloak her entire team in temporary invisibility. Reed, a formidable Duelist, boasts surprising durability, rivaling some Vanguards. His unique ability allows him to bulk up upon landing attacks, significantly boosting his health.

The new anniversary skins showcase a celebratory aesthetic. Mister Fantastic sports a dapper dark teal tuxedo, complete with a crisp white shirt, yellow bow tie, and a slicked-back hairstyle.  Invisible Woman is elegantly dressed in a classic white wedding gown, featuring delicate lace detailing and a flowing veil. The pair even share a romantic MVP screen, adding a charming touch to their in-game presence.

Beyond the anniversary skins, players can also obtain a free costume for Invisible Woman. Reaching Gold rank or higher in Competitive play during the first half of Season 1 unlocks the Blood Shield costume for this popular Strategist.  This comes after NetEase Games reversed its initial decision to reset ranks mid-season, responding to community feedback and allowing players to retain their hard-earned progress.

Expanding the Fantastic Four's presence in the game, The Thing and Human Torch are slated to join Marvel Rivals on February 21st, bringing the total roster to 39 playable characters.  With a new hero planned every six weeks, the roster continues to grow.  A recent Gallery Card teased the arrival of Blade, exciting fans and fueling speculation about future additions.  The developer, NetEase Games, continues to actively engage with the community, promising a vibrant and evolving gaming experience.
