NetEase's Marvel Rivals is receiving a crucial mid-season update to address several recurring issues and optimize gameplay.  This update, rolling out between February 12-13 depending on the time zone, will be implemented without any server downtime.

Currently boasting a roster of 35 playable heroes, including the recent additions of Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman, Marvel Rivals is gearing up for the second half of Season 1.  The remaining members of the Fantastic Four are slated to join the fray on February 21, and this update aims to polish the existing game experience before their arrival.

The update notably includes a "heroic sweep" designed to resolve collision problems with map objects.  This fix tackles an issue where players could become trapped by the environment or unintentionally slip through walls, impacting fair competition.  Additionally, the update corrects a scoring bug where KOs during overtime were not being registered.

Several hero-specific adjustments are also included.  The Fastball Special, a team-up ability between Hulk and Wolverine, has received two fixes.  One addresses an issue where Wolverine's Berserk Claw Strike could be activated during his Feral Leap while performing the Fastball Special.  The other prevents a bug where Hulk couldn't throw Wolverine if interrupted by Namor's ultimate ability.

Other hero adjustments include a fix for Doctor Strange's Portals, preventing Loki from interrupting their placement by transforming into Doctor Strange.  Jeff the Land Shark's Bubble Trouble ability has been slightly nerfed to prevent bubbles from penetrating healing gates and entering the spawn room.  Finally, a cosmetic bug affecting Iron Man, causing his arms to occasionally disappear after using Armor Overdrive, has been resolved.

The update also introduces '60th Anniversary' skins for Sue Storm (Invisible Woman) and Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), available after the patch goes live at 9 AM UTC on February 13 (4 AM EST / 1 AM PST).
