With the arrival of Genshin Impact Version 5.5, players can anticipate a welcome change to the often tedious process of artifact farming.  Fontaine's artifact sets have proven invaluable, with sets like the Marechaussee Hunter empowering support characters like Furina and boosting non-Fontaine hypercarries, and the Golden Troupe offering damage scaling options for characters like Fischl.  However, acquiring these coveted sets has been a grind.

While features like the Sanctifying Elixir and Strongbox have eased the burden somewhat, the journey to fully equip a character remains a lengthy endeavor.  While Natlan saw the inclusion of Marechaussee Hunter and Golden Troupe in the Strongbox, several key sets were still missing.

Version 5.5 aims to address this issue directly.  Leaked information suggests the following sets will be added to the Strongbox: Song of Days Past, Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods, Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy, and Unfinished Reverie. This is particularly good news for Navia mains who have been diligently farming the Waterfall Wen domain since Version 4.3. This addition will allow players to redirect their resin towards other pursuits, such as tackling new artifact domains.

While Song of Days Past is less sought-after than the other three, its inclusion in the Strongbox is still a positive change for the community.  The upcoming artifact sets appear to be centered around two characters: Varesa and Skirk. Varesa's set is expected to enhance Plunging Attacks significantly, while Skirk's set seems designed for characters without Elemental Energy.

Further improvements are also anticipated for the Sanctifying Elixir.  Developers have hinted at changes in Version 5.5 that would guarantee at least two chosen attribute upgrades. More details regarding these modifications are expected during the upcoming developer livestream, tentatively scheduled for March 14, 2025.  The Version 5.5 update is projected to release on March 28, 2025.
