The long-awaited Metroidvania, Hollow Knight: Silksong, has mysteriously disappeared from the North American Nintendo eShop, leaving fans puzzled and fueling speculation about its future. While the game remains listed on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam storefronts, as well as the European eShop, its removal from the North American store has sparked a flurry of theories.

The leading hypothesis currently circulating is that Silksong may be skipping the original Switch entirely and launching on its successor, tentatively dubbed the Switch 2.  This speculation follows recent reassurances from developer Team Cherry last month, confirming that development is progressing smoothly and the game will eventually see the light of day.

Team Cherry's head of marketing and publishing, Matthew Griffin, stated, "The game is real, it’s progressing, and it will be released." However, updates have been scarce since the game's initial announcement six years ago, leaving fans eager for any news.
