Grinding Gear Games, the developers of the highly anticipated action RPG Path of Exile 2, are hosting a series of exciting races leading up to the 0.2.0 content update in late March 2025.  The grand prize? An incredible custom-decaled Alienware laptop.

Following the early access launch in December 2024, Path of Exile 2 continues to engage players with regular content updates as they await the full release expected in May 2025. Building on the success of its 2013 predecessor, this isometric dungeon crawler boasts an innovative skill system featuring a vast array of 240 active and 200 support skill gems. The previous 0.1.1d update introduced the convenient Map Stash tab alongside crucial bug fixes and performance enhancements.

Now, players have the opportunity to compete for prestigious prizes in a series of races.

Grinding Gear Games has announced three races scheduled for March 2nd, 9th, and 16th, 2025.  These races challenge players to defeat Doryani in Act 3 as quickly as possible, with unique Demigod items awarded to top finishers. The ultimate prize, the Alienware laptop, will be awarded to the fastest player in the final race on March 16th.

The upcoming 0.2.0 update, arriving later in March, promises significant gameplay changes, notably the introduction of Towers as a central endgame mechanic. These races offer a thrilling competitive experience in the meantime.

Players eager to maximize their chances in these races can look forward to potential build buffs coming with the 0.2.0 update.  Among these is the Derange Support Gem, which could significantly boost the effectiveness of popular builds such as the Archmage Spark and Acolyte of Chayula.

While the March update brings exciting additions, some players anticipate controversy surrounding potential changes to Towers. While these structures will host dynamic content like Ritual and Breach, concerns exist about increased completion times.
