EA Vancouver has released a new update, version 1.20, for EA Sports UFC 5 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This update adds a fresh face to the game's roster,  alongside key gameplay refinements and bug fixes.

Despite rumors of a new UFC game in development for a potential 2025 release, EA continues to support the current installment, EA Sports UFC 5, with regular updates.  The game has significantly improved its roster alignment with the real-world UFC rankings since launch, addressing fan feedback regarding the initial lack of ranked fighters.

The 1.20 update, following the January patch, introduces Women's Strawweight fighter Iasmin Lucindo (17-5-0) to the roster. This addition coincides with Lucindo's upcoming UFC 313 bout against Amanda Lemos on March 8, the same event where Alex Pereira will defend his Light Heavyweight title against Magomed Ankalaev.

In addition to Lucindo, former Welterweight star Michael "Venom" Page makes his Middleweight debut in the game, reflecting his real-world transition to the weight class after his victory against Shara Magomedov on February 1.  Fans can also anticipate new Alter Egos arriving on March 4, though details remain under wraps.

Beyond the roster additions, update 1.20 addresses various gameplay issues and bugs.  Max Holloway's 90s Alter Ego now features his unique switch stance combo.  A camera issue following the Outside Trip from Muay Thai Clinch has been resolved, along with fixes for Challenge Board tracking errors.  The patch also includes numerous other improvements detailed in the official patch notes.

The update launches with a one-hour server downtime starting at 12 PM ET on February 27.
