Leaked audio files hint at the arrival of Angela, Odin's daughter and Thor's sister, to the popular mobile game, Marvel Rivals. NetEase, the game's developer, has committed to introducing at least two new playable characters each season. Recent additions include The Thing and Human Torch, and a trailer teased the arrival of Blade, the vampire hunter, though his release date remains unknown.

The Marvel universe offers a vast pool of potential characters, and rumors regarding future additions to Marvel Rivals are rampant.  Fan polls show high demand for characters like Deadpool and Ghost Rider.  Recent leaks suggest Season Two may revolve around the infamous Hellfire Club, hinting at the possible inclusion of X-Men characters such as Emma Frost, Professor Xavier, and Colossus.

The latest rumor surrounding potential new characters centers on Angela.  Twitter user X0XLEAK shared datamined audio clips seemingly referencing her.  The clips include dialogue from Loki mentioning Odin's rebellious offspring, Doctor Strange ominously stating "avenging angels always fall in the end," and Rocket Raccoon alluding to a shared history with Angela and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

While less familiar to casual comic fans, Angela boasts a complex history that transcends the Marvel universe. Created by Neil Gaiman and Todd McFarlane, she initially appeared in Image Comics' Spawn series. After Gaiman secured the character rights, he later sold them to Marvel, where she was integrated into the Marvel universe during the 2013 Age of Ultron storyline as Thor's long-lost sister, even joining the Guardians of the Galaxy for a period.

Angela has already made appearances in Marvel games, such as Marvel Snap and Marvel: Avengers Alliance.  She was even indirectly referenced by Spawn in Mortal Kombat 11, despite no longer being part of the Spawn universe.  Given Thor and Loki's presence in Marvel Rivals, Angela's inclusion would be a natural fit.  Her powers closely resemble those of her siblings, suggesting a potential Vanguard or Duelist role with superhuman speed and strength if she does join the roster.
