A prominent Marvel Rivals leaker suggests that The Thing will be sporting his classic trench coat look from comics and movies when he arrives in the game.  This coincides with a major mid-season update for Marvel Rivals: Eternal Night Falls, bringing new characters, a fresh map, and balance adjustments, courtesy of NetEase Games.

The Thing and Human Torch are slated to join the roster on February 21st. Speculation is rife that The Thing will be the next Vanguard, utilizing brute force much like the Hulk, diving in and out of combat to propel the team forward.  Rumors also point to a potential team-up ability with Wolverine, involving The Thing hurling the mutant into battle.

A Marvel Rivals producer recently addressed the ongoing conversation surrounding dataminers, leaks, and misinformation.  This followed a tweet by dataminer X0X_LEAK, who claimed The Thing's launch would include a skin based on his iconic trench coat outfit, recently featured in the trailer for 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps'.  The stylish outfit features a tan wide-brimmed hat and matching trench coat, giving The Thing a distinct noir aesthetic.

While the exact skins accompanying The Thing remain unconfirmed, it's plausible that NetEase Games will introduce purchasable cosmetics.  When Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic debuted in Season 1, they each received darker variant skins.

Alongside The Thing, Human Torch will also be joining the fray.  It's rumored he'll wield flame walls to control the battlefield, and potentially combine powers with Storm to conjure fiery tornadoes.  With such exciting content on the way, the future of Marvel Rivals looks bright.
