Seven Games Departing Xbox Game Pass Today, Including Yakuza Titles

Seven games are being removed from the Xbox Game Pass library today, March 15, 2025.  This is the first wave of departures for the month, with another batch expected later in March.  Among the departing titles are two entries in the popular Yakuza series, Yakuza 5 Remastered and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.

Microsoft typically cycles games out of the Game Pass catalog every two weeks. The previous removals occurred on February 28, 2025, and included titles like Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun.

The March 15 departures also include No More Heroes 3, Evil West, Solar Ash, Lies of P, and SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated. These games span a variety of genres, from action-adventure to platforming and RPG.

While MLB The Show 24 was initially listed as leaving the service today, it appears to have been removed from the departure list and will remain available on Game Pass.

For those hoping to complete any of these departing games, time is short. Even the shortest title, Solar Ash, requires around nine hours for a completionist run. Games are typically removed from the Game Pass library around midnight local time.

Looking ahead, another wave of Game Pass departures is expected at the end of March.  This announcement will likely coincide with the reveal of the second wave of March's Game Pass additions. Based on past patterns, this announcement is anticipated around Tuesday, March 18. That same day will see the release of 33 Immortals on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.  Also slated for later in March is Atomfall, a post-apocalyptic action-adventure game arriving on March 27.
