The innovative 3D platformer, Ruffy and the Riverside, is set to launch on June 26th for PS5, Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games. Developed by indie studio Zockrates Labs and published by Phiphen Games, this title draws inspiration from classic platformers like Ratchet & Clank and Crash Bandicoot, but introduces a fresh gameplay mechanic that sets it apart.

Players take on the role of Ruffy, who wields the unique 'Swap' ability. This power allows him to copy and paste textures within the game world, transforming terrain, waterfalls, objects, and more. This innovative mechanic forms the core of the gameplay, allowing players to creatively solve puzzles and navigate through diverse stages.

Originally planned for an earlier release, the developers opted to delay the launch to ensure a simultaneous release across all platforms. This decision highlights their commitment to delivering a polished and accessible experience for players everywhere.

Ruffy's Swap ability isn't limited to environmental manipulation.  It also plays a key role in combat, allowing players to freeze enemies, turn them to stone, and more, depending on the copied texture.  The developers hint at a wide variety of textures available, promising a deep and rewarding experience for players who seek to uncover all the game's secrets and complete side quests.
