Gun Game Returns to Black Ops 6 with Party Support and New Playlists

Treyarch Studios has announced the return of the fan-favorite Gun Game mode to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Multiplayer.  Arriving with a playlist update on March 13th, this iteration of Gun Game includes a highly requested feature: party support.  Players can now team up with up to four friends in public lobbies for some fast-paced weapon-cycling action.

Previously, Gun Game returned with the launch of Season 2 but was quickly rotated out. The mode challenges players to progress through a set of twenty weapons by earning eliminations, with melee attacks sending opponents back a weapon. The first player to get a kill with every weapon wins.  The initial absence of party support caused controversy among players, a concern now addressed with this update.

Along with Gun Game's return, the update introduces the Clover Craze event. This event gives players the chance to earn cosmetic rewards by collecting four-leaf clovers within Black Ops 6 and Warzone.  Furthermore, a new Face Off Endurance Moshpit will be available for both Core and Hardcore modes, offering extended time limits and score targets on smaller maps.

This follows the recent introduction of the Face Off Endurance mode last week which was met with positive reception.  The new Face Off variation builds on this popularity, providing intense close-quarters combat.

The March 13th update primarily focuses on playlist additions.  While major gameplay changes or weapon balancing aren't expected, it comes on the heels of a March 11th patch that buffed the D1.3 Sector weapon and addressed several bug fixes. This patch also extended the ongoing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Event Pass to March 20th, likely due to the Season 3 delay.
