Ukrainian game developer Frogwares has achieved a significant victory with the successful funding of their Kickstarter campaign for The Sinking City 2.  This achievement comes despite the ongoing geopolitical challenges in Ukraine, highlighting the studio's resilience and dedication to bringing this Lovecraftian horror title to life in 2025.

Announced in 2024, The Sinking City 2 builds upon the foundation of its predecessor, blending action-packed combat with intricate investigative mechanics. Set to release amidst a wave of highly anticipated horror games in 2025, the successful Kickstarter campaign positions The Sinking City 2 to deliver an even more compelling and immersive experience.

Launched on March 6th, the Kickstarter campaign rapidly surpassed its $105,000 goal within just two hours. This overwhelming support unlocked a wealth of additional content, including exclusive physical Limited and Collector's Editions, community events, backer rewards, and more.  The campaign has since garnered over $237,000 in pledges, demonstrating the strong anticipation surrounding the game.

A new gameplay trailer accompanied the Kickstarter launch, offering fans a glimpse of the enhanced combat system.  Departing from the investigation-focused gameplay of the original, The Sinking City 2 embraces a survival horror approach, prioritizing action while still retaining and expanding upon the Mind Palace mechanic for players eager to delve into the game's rich lore and uncover hidden secrets.

Players can anticipate a deeper exploration of the Cthulhu Mythos, encounters with original creatures, and access to an arsenal of era-appropriate 1920s weaponry.  Furthermore, Kickstarter backers will have the opportunity to participate in monthly play tests, providing valuable feedback throughout the development process.
