Genshin Impact 5.4 Second Half Banners: Wriothesley, Furina, and a Cryo Ensemble

Genshin Impact Version 5.4's second half is introducing a wave of powerful characters, headlined by Wriothesley and Furina.  Joining them are Charlotte, Chongyun, and Mika, creating a Cryo-heavy lineup that offers exciting team composition possibilities.

While the first half of 5.4 offered a moment of respite, the second half ramps up the excitement with highly anticipated reruns. Furina is widely regarded as a top-tier Support, and many players are eager for Wriothesley's return.

Since his debut, Wriothesley's value as a hypercarry has only grown, especially with the introduction of new characters like Emilie and Xilonen. His flexibility in Melt, Burnmelt, and Freeze teams allows players to tailor their builds to their preferred playstyle. Version 5.4 offers a second chance for those who missed Wriothesley during his initial release.

The official Genshin Impact Reddit account confirmed the second half banners, and the three Cryo 4-stars immediately caught players' attention.  This Cryo-focused banner is both surprising and arguably overdue, given the game's recent handling of Cryo characters. With Wriothesley, Furina, Chongyun, Mika, and Charlotte available, players have a strong foundation for building powerful Freeze teams.

Among the 4-star characters, Charlotte offers the most value. She is a strong Cryo healer who synergizes well with Furina, and she hasn't been featured since Version 4.2.  Given the unpredictable nature of rerun schedules, players interested in Charlotte should consider investing some pulls on the Furina banner, as Support constellations are always beneficial.

The accompanying Weapon Banner is particularly appealing for Wriothesley players, offering both his Signature Weapon and the Splendor of Tranquil Waters, an excellent Sword for teams with fluctuating HP. However, players should also consider that Version 5.5, launching on March 26, 2025, will feature Varesa, Xianyun, Xilonen, and Venti. While 5.5 will offer Primogems, Intertwined Fates remain a limited resource.  Careful planning is essential to maximize your pulls.
