Watch Dogs: Legion Joins Xbox Game Pass: A Dystopian London Adventure Awaits

Ubisoft's Watch Dogs: Legion has joined the growing library of titles available on Xbox Game Pass. This third installment in the series, which debuted in 2014, transports players to a futuristic, dystopian London where the hacking collective DedSec has been falsely accused of terrorism.

In addition to its multiplayer mode, allowing up to four players to team up, Watch Dogs: Legion introduced a unique playable character system. Players can recruit any NPC within the game world, assembling a diverse team with varying skills and backgrounds. This innovative approach is coupled with the option of permadeath, meaning any recruited character lost during gameplay is gone permanently.  This feature significantly raises the stakes, adding an element of tension and excitement for players invested in their chosen team.

Watch Dogs: Legion introduces innovative gameplay mechanics to the series.  New players looking to jump into this hacking adventure will find several tips helpful as they navigate this dystopian London.

Players who haven't experienced 2020's Watch Dogs: Legion, or those who simply want to revisit it, can now do so as part of their Xbox Game Pass subscription.  The title joins a wave of high-quality additions to the service in 2025.  February alone saw the arrival of Far Cry New Dawn, Avowed, and Balatro on Xbox Game Pass.  Furthermore, titles initially launched on the Ultimate tier, including Starfield, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, and Another Crab’s Treasure, are now accessible to Standard tier members.

Watch Dogs: Legion is the last currently announced title arriving on Microsoft's subscription service in February.  However, there's always room for surprises. On February 24th, Balatro was unexpectedly added to Xbox Game Pass. Originally launched in early 2024, LocalThunk's poker-themed roguelike deckbuilder garnered significant acclaim, winning awards such as Best Indie Game from Golden Joystick, Best Independent Game from The Game Awards, and Outstanding Achievement in Game Design at DICE 2025.

Xbox Game Pass subscribers can anticipate further exciting additions in March, although details remain scarce. 33 Immortals, an action roguelike by Thunder Lotus Games, will launch in early access on March 18th, while the survival game Atomfall will be available day one on March 27th.  April also boasts several day-one releases, including Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Blue Prince, and South of Midnight by Compulsion Games, the studio behind We Happy Few.
