The iconic Dino Crisis games have finally arrived on PC, offering a new generation of players the chance to experience these survival horror classics with modern enhancements.

Originally released on PlayStation 1 in 1999, Dino Crisis, created by renowned game director Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil, Vanquish), captured the hearts of gamers with its intense atmosphere and thrilling gameplay.  Much like its spiritual predecessor, Resident Evil, Dino Crisis solidified its place within the survival horror genre, inspiring future titles such as Dead Space and The Last of Us.

Thanks to the GOG Preservation Program, both Dino Crisis 1 and 2 are now readily available on PC. Dino Crisis 1 took the successful survival horror formula of Resident Evil and swapped zombies for dinosaurs. Its intense gore, unrelenting tension, and a courageous protagonist made it a standout title of its era.

The original game's legacy continues to inspire modern titles. Code Violet, an upcoming horror game for PlayStation 5, has been called a "spiritual successor" to Dino Crisis.  Additionally, 2023's Dinobreak incorporates similar themes, further showcasing the long-lasting influence of the Dino Crisis franchise.
