Genshin Impact 5.5 Leak: Varesa's Plunging Powerhouse Kit Revealed

2025-02-12 05:31:02

Recent Genshin Impact leaks have provided exciting details about Varesa, the upcoming 5-Star Electro Catalyst character expected to debut in Version 5.5. While she hasn't appeared in-game yet, characters like Iansan and Mavuika have previously mentioned her name, adding to the anticipation. Hailing from the Collective of Plenty, this competitive eater and powerful warrior is poised to be a major highlight of the upcoming update, alongside Iansan.

Varesa's kit revolves around a unique plunge-focused playstyle. She's designed as a plunge hypercarry, seamlessly transitioning from charged attacks into devastating plunging attacks, all while possessing high interruption resistance.  Similar to Iansan, Varesa can mimic the Tatankasaurus by holding her Elemental Skill, granting increased movement speed, extended leaps, and even the ability to traverse Liquid Phlogiston by consuming Nightsoul Points.

Leaks have also surfaced regarding Varesa and Iansan's Ascension Materials, giving players a head start on preparing for their arrival. Thanks to Seele Leaks and Narc1ssus, players have early access to Varesa's kit details ahead of the 5.5 beta.  A standout feature is her "Limit Drive" state, activated after using her Elemental Burst.  In this state, Varesa can continuously trigger her Burst at a reduced energy cost and without cooldown. This damage is classified as a Plunging Attack, hinting that the new Artifact Set might be tailored for her.

While Natlan hypercarries typically benefit from Nightsoul characters, Varesa gains a significant 60% ATK bonus by triggering Nightsoul Burst twice within a 12-second window. This suggests potential team synergy with Xilonen, Iansan, and Xianyun.  Depending on her multipliers, Varesa might also excel in Overload teams. Her Elemental Burst grants her Electro infusion, but it's unclear if this persists during Limit Drive.

Despite Iansan currently generating more discussion, Varesa's unique plunge-focused mechanics have the potential to make her a popular choice. Her kit offers a fresh take on Plunging Attacks, and her performance in practice will be eagerly observed. Version 5.5 is scheduled to launch on March 26.
