The vibrant and dreamlike world of Sayonara Wild Hearts has made a surprise return, pulsating with its signature electronic synth-pop soundtrack, now on PlayStation 5.

During the 2025 Annapurna Interactive Showcase, Swedish developer Simogo announced the immediate availability of their 2019 rhythm game, Sayonara Wild Hearts, on the PS5.  This enhanced version boasts 4K resolution at a smooth 120 frames-per-second, and utilizes the PS5 DualSense controller's haptic feedback for a more immersive experience.

A standout feature of this release is the PS5-exclusive Remix Arcade mode. This new mode offers endless replayability with infinite levels and no loading screens, perfect for players chasing high scores.

The Annapurna Interactive Showcase also highlighted other exciting titles, including To a T and Wanderstop, alongside new glimpses of Wheel World and a forthcoming project with Geometric Interactive, the developers of the acclaimed puzzle game Cocoon.

With the arrival of Sayonara Wild Hearts on PS5, speculation arises regarding potential optimizations for Xbox Series X/S. Currently, only the original Xbox One version is available on Xbox consoles. The exclusivity of the Remix Arcade mode on PS5 might suggest future inclusion in a potential Series X/S version. However, the omission of this mode on PC hints at its long-term PS5 exclusivity.
