Cyberpunk 2077 has seen a resurgence in popularity, climbing back up Steam's Top Sellers chart over four years after its initial release. This renewed interest appears to be driven by a deep discount currently offered on the game, marking its lowest price ever on the platform.

The sale, which began mid-March 2025, saw a 60% price reduction, bringing Cyberpunk 2077 down to $23.99. Initially part of the Steam Spring Sale 2025, CD Projekt Red extended the offer by a week, lasting until March 27th.  While no official reason was given for the extension, the game's climb back up the charts suggests a highly successful sales period.  Currently, Cyberpunk 2077 sits at the eighth spot on Steam's Top Sellers list, positioned just behind gaming giants like Monster Hunter Wilds and PUBG: Battlegrounds.

The sale also includes the critically acclaimed expansion, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, also discounted to its lowest price ever at $22.49 (25% off). The Ultimate Edition, bundling the base game and Phantom Liberty, is available for $42.76 (48% off), another historic low.  Purchasing the Ultimate Edition provides a slight cost saving compared to buying the base game and expansion separately.

While the base game is proving more popular during this sale, the Ultimate Edition is also performing well, ranking 11th on the Top Sellers chart, between Helldivers 2 and Warframe. Phantom Liberty stands alone at number 22.

This isn't the first time Cyberpunk 2077 has resurfaced on the Top Sellers list.  These recurring spikes in popularity demonstrate the game's enduring appeal and contribute to its impressive sales figures of over 25 million copies as of late 2024.  CD Projekt Red has already commenced pre-production on the sequel, codenamed Project Orion, since late 2022, with full development anticipated after the release of The Witcher 4 around 2027.
