Soar Through Kalimdor Again: World of Warcraft's Skyriding Cup Returns!

The skies of Kalimdor call once more! World of Warcraft has relaunched the Kalimdor Cup, its nostalgic skyriding event, offering players another chance to test their aerial skills. Until March 10th, adventurers can take to the skies and race across 16 courses throughout Kalimdor, each with Normal, Advanced, and Reverse variations.

This marks the second iteration of the Kalimdor Cup, originally held in August 2023.  Participants can earn Riders of Azeroth Badges by completing races, which can be exchanged for various cosmetic rewards including transmogs and Drakewatcher Manuscripts.

Players eager to embrace the challenge can begin racing as early as level 30.  Bronze Timekeepers located throughout the world offer immediate access to the races. Additionally, speaking to Lord Andestrasz at the Rostrum of Transformation in Valdrakken grants an introductory quest awarding bonus Riders of Azeroth Badges for each character.

While this iteration of the Kalimdor Cup doesn't feature new rewards like transmogs, achievements, or titles, those who missed the initial event have a second opportunity to earn the existing rewards. It's worth noting that subsequent old-world skyriding events have offered increased Riders of Azeroth Badges from the introductory quest, leaving open the possibility of future adjustments to the Kalimdor Cup.

The 16 Kalimdor Cup race courses span the continent, offering diverse and exciting challenges:

The Kalimdor Cup's return coincides with the release of World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 and the launch of Season 2 on March 4th. Players are encouraged to take a break from the new content and experience this limited-time event, as it likely won't return for some time.

The Kalimdor Cup is just the beginning. Future iterations of old-world skyriding events are planned, including the Eastern Kingdoms Cup, the Outland Cup, and the Northrend Cup, suggesting a regular rotation of these exciting aerial challenges. The possibility of future skyriding events in other zones like Pandaria, the Broken Isles, or Draenor remains open.
