New Genshin Impact Artifact Sets Unveiled for Version 5.5
2025-03-21 19:01:59Genshin Impact Version 5.5 is bringing two new artifact sets to enhance character builds. Artifacts are crucial for maximizing a character's potential, and these new sets offer intriguing bonuses for specific playstyles.
The recent Special Program revealed exciting additions coming in the 5.5 update, including a new explorable area in Natlan. The highlight, of course, are the new characters, Varesa and Iansan, set to debut in the first banner cycle.
The first artifact set, Long Night's Oath, appears tailored for the upcoming five-star Electro character, Varesa. This set focuses on Plunging Attack damage, suggesting Varesa's primary damage output will revolve around this mechanic. As a confirmed DPS character, Varesa, like other Natlan characters, will likely synergize well with Pyro characters.
The second set, Finale of the Deep Galleries, offers a different approach. The two-piece bonus provides a 15% Cryo damage bonus, while the four-piece bonus increases Normal Attack and Elemental Burst damage by a significant 60% when the user has 0 Elemental Energy. This unique condition has sparked speculation about its intended user, potentially a future Cryo character with a unique energy mechanic.
Long Night's Oath:
- 2-piece bonus: Increases Plunging Attack Damage by 25%.
- 4-piece bonus: After using an Elemental Skill, Plunging Attack, or Charged Attack that hits an enemy, grants 1/2/2 stacks of Radiance Everlasting. This effect, triggered once per second, increases Plunging Attack damage by 15% for 6 seconds, up to 5 stacks.
Finale of the Deep Galleries:
- 2-piece bonus: Increases Cryo damage bonus by 15%.
- 4-piece bonus: When the user has 0 Elemental Energy, Normal Attack and Elemental Burst damage are increased by 60%. This effect only triggers for one attack type and applies even when the user is off-field.
While Long Night's Oath seems designed for Varesa, other characters like Xiao, who utilize Plunging Attacks, could also benefit. The Finale of the Deep Galleries' four-piece bonus presents a challenge, as maintaining 0 energy is difficult for most characters. Exceptions exist, like the Natlan Archon Mavuika, who has a unique energy system. However, the Cryo damage bonus is irrelevant for Mavuika, a Pyro user, leading to theories that the set is intended for a yet-to-be-revealed character.
