Pokemon GO's Stunning Styles Event Showcases New Pokemon, Research, and Bonuses
2025-03-18 07:51:15Niantic's popular mobile game, Pokemon GO, is set to launch its new "Stunning Styles" event, beginning on April 3, 2025. This event promises a plethora of new content and opportunities for players, including the debut of new Pokemon, a continuation of the Might and Mastery Special Research, and attractive event bonuses.
The Might and Mastery season, which runs through June 2025, continues to offer exciting limited-time events for players. Following the recent Powerful Potential event, which introduced Kubfu, the Stunning Styles event brings even more Pokemon to the game. Players can look forward to completing Special Research and Timed Research tasks for valuable rewards.
One of the highlights of the Stunning Styles event is the introduction of the Paldean Tauros from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Notably, three regional variants of Paldean Tauros will appear depending on the player's real-world location: Combat Breed in the Iberian Peninsula, Blaze Breed in the Eastern Hemisphere, and Aqua Breed in the Western Hemisphere. This regional variation adds a unique element to the event and encourages exploration.
The event also features a new free Might and Mastery Special Research storyline. Completing this research will reward players with items such as Golden Razz Berries and Kubfu Candy, along with encounters with Tauros and other event-themed Pokemon.
Furthermore, a new Special Research story titled "A Striking Shadow" will launch on April 3. This research offers a guaranteed encounter with the Mythical Pokemon Marshadow. Players who have already completed the Pokemon GO Fest 2024 Special Research will receive Marshadow Candy instead. This provides an additional incentive for players to engage with the new content.
During the Stunning Styles event, players can enjoy double XP for catching Pokemon. There will also be an increased chance to encounter Shiny West Sea Shellos and Shiny East Sea Shellos, adding a collectible aspect to the event. Event-themed Field Research tasks will provide further opportunities to encounter featured Pokemon.
Accompanying the event is free Timed Research that offers additional rewards, including Kubfu Candy, encounters with event-themed Pokemon, and increased Candy/Candy XL drops. This Timed Research must be completed before the event concludes on April 7.
For players seeking additional rewards, event-exclusive Paid Timed Research will be available for purchase. This paid research includes Premium Battle Passes, a Lucky Egg, a Star Piece, and encounters with West Sea Shellos, East Sea Shellos, and Espurr.
Pokemon from previous events, such as Castform and Burmy in their various forms, will appear more frequently in the wild. One-Star and Three-Star Raids will feature Espurr, Rockruff, Paldean Tauros, and Decidueye, giving players more chances to catch these Pokemon. Lucky players might even encounter Shiny variants of these featured Pokemon in raids and wild encounters.
