Sand, an open-world PvPvE extraction shooter, is generating significant buzz.  Players explore a vast map, scavenge for loot, and engage in thrilling combat encounters.  Its popularity surged during the recent Steam Next Fest, leaving many eager for its official release.

The wait is almost over.  Developers Hologryph, TowerHaus, and tinyBuild Games have announced Sand's Early Access launch date: April 3, 2025. A March development update highlights the progress made in preparation for this release.

This update introduces a range of enhancements, including improved optimization, refined gameplay mechanics (especially shooting), health regeneration through eating, and exciting new features such as a skill tree and a crafting system.

The anticipation surrounding Sand is palpable, with some players seeking early access even before the official launch. However, caution is advised, particularly regarding "playtests."  Several reports have surfaced of players receiving fraudulent emails inviting them to participate in Sand playtests.  The developers have confirmed that no such tests are currently underway.  Therefore,  be wary of any emails containing such invitations. Avoid clicking on any links, as doing so could compromise your personal information and expose you to potential scams.
