NetEase Games has unveiled exciting gameplay footage showcasing the Human Torch in action within Marvel Rivals.  Alongside this fiery hero, players can anticipate the arrival of The Thing in a substantial mid-season update slated for February 21st. As Season 1: Eternal Night Falls progresses, The Fantastic Four will spearhead the fight against Dracula, striving to liberate a war-torn New York City.

This upcoming update promises significant changes to the popular hero shooter, including character rebalancing that could reshape the competitive landscape.  A new Central Park map, overrun by Dracula's forces, will also be introduced.  Furthermore, NetEase Games is providing players with a new avenue for acquiring Units by converting excess Chrono Tokens into this valuable in-game currency.

Official gameplay footage released by NetEase Games provides the first glimpse of Human Torch in action.  Resembling Iron Man in his aerial maneuverability, Human Torch unleashes flame attacks, performs impactful slams from above, and conjures flame walls to strategically control the battlefield. Notably, he possesses a powerful team-up ability with Storm, creating devastating flaming tornadoes.

Rumors suggest that Human Torch might launch with a skin inspired by his time in the Negative Zone from the comics, showcasing a grittier version of the typically jovial hero.  This would follow the precedent set by Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic, who each debuted with costumes reflecting their darker sides: Malice for Invisible Woman and The Maker for Mister Fantastic, the latter drawing inspiration from Marvel's Ultimate Universe.

NetEase Games has confirmed The Thing's role as a Vanguard in Marvel Rivals, hinting at a playstyle similar to Hulk's brute force approach.  With a wealth of new content and features on the horizon, players eagerly await the future of Marvel Rivals.
