The highly anticipated 1.1 update for the factory automation game, Satisfactory, is on the horizon.  A recent teaser video from developer Coffee Stain Studios offers a glimpse of what players can expect. While a concrete release date remains elusive, the update promises a significant boost to the game's building and automation capabilities.

Following its full release in September 2024, Satisfactory has received a series of smaller patches primarily focused on bug fixes and minor improvements.  The 1.1 update marks a substantial shift, introducing a wealth of new content and features.

The teaser video showcases a variety of exciting additions.  Construction enthusiasts will appreciate the new reinforced cables, ridged building components, garage-style doors, and sleek, square windows. The conveyor belt and pipe systems have also been refined, now supporting curved configurations, offering greater flexibility in factory design.

Transportation receives a significant upgrade with the introduction of Hypertube junctions and what appears to be a new elevator system, promising smoother and more efficient movement of resources and personnel throughout the factory. A dynamic item counter for conveyor belts, along with vertical splitters and mergers, will provide players with greater control over resource flow and management.

The teaser also hints at other exciting additions, including new concrete pillars, stackable building components, and wall vents.  These additions further expand the creative possibilities for players designing and optimizing their factories.

Perhaps one of the most highly anticipated features revealed in the teaser is the new in-game photo mode. This allows players to capture stunning images of their intricate factory creations, showcasing their hard work and ingenuity.

While Coffee Stain Studios has remained tight-lipped about the official release date for the 1.1 update, they previously indicated an early 2025 launch window. This suggests players can expect the update to arrive no later than April 2025.

The developer continues to work on the console ports for PlayStation and Xbox, initially announced after the game's 1.0 release.  Further information regarding the console versions is expected following the release of the 1.1 update.
