Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced Digimon Alysion, a fresh take on the Digimon trading card game experience designed specifically for mobile platforms. Revealed during Digimon Con 2025, the fourth annual celebration of the franchise, Digimon Alysion promises a captivating blend of card battling, monster raising, and immersive storytelling.

The Digimon franchise boasts a rich history of games, from classics like Digimon Rumble Arena and Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth to the more recent Digimon Survive.  With nine existing mobile titles, including Digimon Collectors and the China-exclusive Digimon New Century, Alysion marks the tenth entry into the Digimon mobile gaming arena.

The newly released trailer offers a glimpse into Alysion's gameplay mechanics.  Viewers are shown the card viewing interface, the match search screen, and a look at the card-pulling system.  The battlefield design bears a resemblance to Hearthstone, and a pixelated Digimon inventory system is also showcased.

Digimon Alysion introduces a female-led cast, featuring characters like Kanata Hondo, Futre, and Valner Dragnogh, alongside an all-new Digimon named Gemmon. While not officially confirmed, the trailer suggests a compelling combination of trading card gameplay, monster-raising elements, and a narrative-driven experience.

The game will be free-to-play with in-app purchases. A closed beta is planned, with details to be announced later, according to Gematsu. The game will also feature new cards and Digimon, further expanding the Digimon universe.

Digimon Alysion joins another exciting development in the Digimon world: Digimon Story: Time Stranger.  This upcoming title recently revealed three Digimon partners and other details, including its story, characters, and a massive roster of 450 trainable Digimon – the largest in the series.
