Cyberpunk 2077 has received a new update, patch 2.21, available now for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.  This patch focuses on refining the recently enhanced photo mode and introduces support for Nvidia's RTX 50 series graphics cards on PC, including DLSS 4.

This update paves the way for the upcoming release of the RTX 50 series, with Cyberpunk 2077 serving as a showcase title for the new DLSS 4 frame generation technology.  With DLSS 4 enabled, the RTX 5090 can achieve over 200 FPS at 4K resolution with full ray tracing.

Version 2.21 brings a range of fixes and enhancements, most notably to Smart Frames on Xbox consoles and Photo Mode across all platforms.  DLSS 4 support is now available on PC. Here's a detailed breakdown of the changes:

**Photo Mode Improvements:**

*  Spawning Nibbles and Adam Smasher while V is airborne or underwater is now possible.

*  Adam Smasher's facial expression options have been fixed.

*  A missing glowing chest implant for Adam Smasher has been restored.

*  An issue causing the replacement appearance for Johnny Silverhand to always spawn, even when the default version was selected, has been resolved.

*  Spawned characters no longer snap to the ground when V is in the air or water.

*  Character poses are now correctly saved in presets.

*  Spawned characters are now visible after adding a background.

*  V's rotation and position are now saved correctly in presets.

*  Issues with the vertical slider for V's positioning have been addressed.

*  Disabled NPCs no longer have collision.

*  Lighting issues when loading presets have been fixed.

*  Camera clipping through walls when full collision is enabled has been resolved.

*  Camera settings are now correctly applied when loading presets.

*  Enabling a background no longer changes camera position.

*  Camera rotation now functions correctly when a background is enabled.

*  Erroneous camera movement prompts have been removed.

*  Camera movement is now possible after spawning a character when the 'Edit Character' option is highlighted.

*  Disabling chromatic aberration in graphic settings no longer affects the chromatic aberration adjustment feature.

*  Disappearing objects when disabling surrounding NPCs have been restored.

*  NCPD vehicles no longer become unfrozen when PhysX clothing is enabled.

*  The grid now correctly adapts to the chosen aspect ratio.

*  Smart Frames are now visible when accessed while V isn't facing them.

*  Unresponsiveness when opening Photo Mode and the wardrobe or stash simultaneously has been fixed.

*  Accessing Photo Mode before a save file fully loads, resulting in a missing UI, has been addressed.

*  Other minor issues related to character spawning, camera movement, and controls in Photo Mode have been fixed.

*  Various UI issues in Photo Mode and the Gallery have been resolved.

**Vehicle Customization:**

*  Texture and color inconsistencies on vehicles with applied Chameleon paint have been fixed.

*  The Fixer tutorial prompt now includes the paint icon description after completing vehicle gigs.

*  Minor UI issues in the Chameleon paint and paint selection menus have been addressed.

**Character Creation:**

*  Randomization settings are now preserved when entering the attribute customization step.

*  Piercing color options are now available when piercings are enabled after initially starting without them.

*  Other minor issues in character creation have been fixed.

**Other Fixes:**

*  Gameplay and quest-related issues have been addressed, including Aguilar's trait not deactivating, duplicate Johnny Silverhands appearing, infrequent Johnny appearances in the passenger seat, and improved NPC and vehicle AI.

*  Issues with vendor interactions, missing or low-volume TV news audio, and incorrect vehicle descriptions have been corrected.

*  The missing 'See What's New' popup on the main menu has been restored.

**Console-Specific Fixes (Xbox):**

*  Blank screenshots in the gallery when capturing with HDR10 enabled have been fixed.

*  A notification now informs players if privacy settings prevent screenshot access.

*  Deleted screenshots are now correctly handled in the gallery.

*  The default graphics mode on Xbox Series S is now set to Performance.

**PC-Specific Enhancements and Fixes:**

*  DLSS 4 support has been added for GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards via Frame Generation.

*  Unnatural and blurry visuals when using DLSS Frame Reconstruction have been improved.

*  The Frame Generation field in graphic settings now resets correctly after disabling resolution scaling.
