Activision has officially extended the Season 2 Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone after announcing a two-week postponement for Season 3.  Originally slated to end on March 20th, Season 2, which began on January 28th and became one of the lengthiest in Call of Duty history, will now conclude on April 3rd.

The delay was announced on March 3rd, with Activision stating Season 3 represents a "significant moment" for both Black Ops 6 and Warzone, justifying the two-week extension.  Further details about Season 3 will be unveiled after Warzone's fifth anniversary celebrations on March 10th.

Speculation is rife about the content of Season 3, with strong rumors hinting at the return of the popular Verdansk map. While Activision has confirmed a Spring return for the game's inaugural map, an official date remains unannounced.

The Season 2 Battle Pass extension offers players additional time to unlock rewards.  The in-game countdown now points to April 3rd as the deadline.  While the Season 3 delay frustrated some players, the extension provides a welcome reprieve for those still working their way through the current Battle Pass.

The Season 2 Battle Pass offers several options.  A free version grants access to new weapons like the Cypher 091 Assault Rifle and the PPSh-41 Submachine Gun, as well as emblems and weapon charms. The premium Battle Pass, available for 1,100 COD Points, unlocks a wider array of rewards including operator skins, weapon blueprints, COD Points, and XP tokens.  The Blackcell Battle Pass, a premium option requiring real-money purchase, offers even more cosmetic content and benefits.

Players who have completed the Season 2 Battle Pass will need to wait for Season 3's launch.  Leaks and rumors suggest Season 3 could be the biggest yet, with the potential return of Verdansk, the inclusion of controversial Modern Warfare operators, and the reintroduction of fan-favorite weapons like the Grau 5.56 Assault Rifle and the HDR Sniper Rifle.  These remain rumors, however, so players are encouraged to await official confirmation.
