Firing Range Returns in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 3
2025-03-27 05:35:44Treyarch Studios has confirmed the return of the beloved Firing Range map in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 3. This fan-favorite map is set to be remastered for its triumphant return.
While full details on the Season 3 content drop are coming on March 27th, Activision has revealed a few key additions. Players can expect iconic Modern Warfare weapons like the Kilo 141, CR-56 AMAX, and HDR to be available in Black Ops 6. The Kilo 141 will be a free login reward at the start of Season 3 on April 2nd, while the other weapons will be accessible through the Battle Pass.
Season 3 also marks the return of the original Verdansk map to Warzone. Rebuilt from the ground up by Beenox, Verdansk returns with 150-player support, its original voice announcer, and the ability to shoot during freefall, along with numerous quality-of-life enhancements.
Activision previously announced a two-week delay for Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 3. While Warzone players will have to wait until April 3rd, Black Ops 6 players can jump in on April 2nd. To bridge the gap, Activision is making Black Ops 6 completely free-to-play from April 2nd to 3rd, coinciding with Warzone's server downtime for the Verdansk update.
Further details about the Black Ops 6 Multiplayer and Zombies modes are expected to be revealed in the upcoming roadmap and blog post. Leaks suggest we may see four to six new multiplayer maps, though it remains unclear if other remasters will join Firing Range.
