Marvel Rivals players can obtain a free Star-Lord skin by participating in the Fortune & Colors event, running from January 23rd to February 14th.  This coincides with the recent launch of Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, which introduced Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman to the expanding roster.  The developers have also hinted at the arrival of Human Torch and The Thing in a substantial mid-season update.

As a Duelist, Star-Lord excels at dealing damage. His kit combines ranged attacks with high mobility, enabling him to secure eliminations.  Rocket Propulsion allows for quick repositioning mid-fight, while Blaster Barrage delivers area-of-effect damage when surrounded. His ultimate, Galactic Legend, unleashes a barrage of attacks from the air, maximizing damage output.

The Spring Festival event offers players free cosmetics, including a new Lion's Mane costume for Star-Lord, earned by completing challenges and acquiring event currency called Danqing.  Danqing is earnable through the new Clash of Dancing Lions game mode, as well as Quick Play and Competitive matches.

Beyond the free Star-Lord skin, players can use Danqing to acquire nameplates, sprays, Chrono Tokens, and a new Gallery Card. While there's no free MVP animation for the Lion's Mane costume, players can purchase Iron Fist's Lion's Gaze bundle, which includes an MVP screen usable by both characters.  Don't miss out – Fortune & Colors concludes on February 14th.

Following closely on the heels of the Winter Celebration event, the Spring Festival surprised some players.  However, this rapid release of content is seen by many as a positive sign of the developers' commitment to keeping the game fresh and engaging.  With a plethora of current content and exciting updates on the horizon, the future of Marvel Rivals looks bright.
