The cyborg law enforcer returns! Following the successful launch of RoboCop: Rogue City in 2023, a sequel titled RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business is set to release this summer. Developed by Teyon, the studio behind Terminator: Resistance, the original game saw players step into the boots of Alex Murphy, voiced by Peter Weller, the original RoboCop actor. The story unfolded between the second and third RoboCop films, allowing players to fight crime and navigate the dangerous streets of Old Detroit.

RoboCop: Rogue City quickly resonated with fans of the 80s sci-fi franchise, amassing around 435,000 players within two weeks of its November release.  The game was praised for capturing the power fantasy of playing as the seemingly unstoppable RoboCop, offering a diverse arsenal and allowing players to choose between violent and diplomatic approaches to upholding the law.

RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business will take players to OmniTower, a massive housing complex built by the morally ambiguous Omni Consumer Products.  A group of highly trained mercenaries equipped with advanced weaponry has seized control of the tower, turning it into a fortified stronghold. RoboCop is called upon to neutralize the threat, and players will have to battle their way to the top, confronting a range of technologically advanced enemies.

The announcement trailer for Unfinished Business showcases new weapons at RoboCop's disposal, including the chilling Cryo Cannon. Players can also execute devastating finishing moves, slamming criminals into walls and vending machines.  Publisher Nacon describes Unfinished Business as both a standalone experience and an expansion to the original game, suggesting a potentially shorter narrative.

RoboCop has a long history in video games, from side-scrolling adaptations of his early films to his recent appearance in Mortal Kombat 11. The success of RoboCop: Rogue City demonstrates the continued potential for games featuring the iconic cyborg.  With the arrival of RoboCop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business this summer, Alex Murphy's virtual law enforcement career is far from over.
