NetEase Games has finally unveiled the highly anticipated Central Park map for Marvel Rivals, slated for release on February 21st as part of a major mid-season update. This iconic location will offer players a fresh battleground with unique strategic possibilities.

Joining the roster of playable characters are Human Torch and The Thing.  Human Torch, a flying Duelist, can scorch enemies from above, create walls of flame, and even team up with Storm for devastating flaming tornadoes. The Thing, a powerful Vanguard, boasts a significant health pool, the ability to shove enemies aside, and ground-slam attacks that damage nearby structures and alter the terrain.

Beyond the Central Park map, the update also provides a glimpse of Blade. While details remain scarce, data miners suggest he may possess a transformation ability similar to Magik, granting access to his full vampiric powers, and the ability to see enemies through walls.

The February 21st update also offers a first look at the new Central Park map.  Early footage hints at a gothic aesthetic, with Dracula's castle looming under a blood moon.  Intriguing details like gothic statues and winding staircases add to the atmosphere, and Dracula himself can be seen performing a ritual, possibly involving the god Ratatoskr.

While an official release date for Blade remains unknown, NetEase Games has stated their intention to introduce a new hero every six weeks, suggesting players may not have to wait long to wield the vampire hunter's powers.  There's currently no official start date for Season 2, but more information is expected towards the end of March.  With a wealth of content on the horizon, the future of Marvel Rivals looks bright.
