PC gamers rejoice!  A handful of free games are up for grabs, but you'll need to act fast.  Unlike console players often tied to subscription services like PS Plus or Xbox Game Pass, PC gamers frequently enjoy free titles without any strings attached, thanks to the numerous digital storefronts available.

The Epic Games Store, for instance, offers a new free game or two every Thursday.  Publishers also leverage platforms like Steam to offer free games, promoting their latest releases.  GOG occasionally joins the free game party as well. By utilizing all available PC platforms, gamers can amass a substantial library without spending a dime.

Currently, two enticing freebies await PC gamers. The Epic Games Store is offering Mortal Shell, the 2020 Soulslike that garnered a dedicated following despite mixed reviews.  Steam users can grab Scheming Through the Zombie Apocalypse: The Beginning. However, time is of the essence! Mortal Shell's free offer expires on Thursday, March 20, while Scheming Through the Zombie Apocalypse: The Beginning disappears on March 18.

Beyond Mortal Shell, Epic Games Store users can also claim the World of Warships Anniversary Party Favor Pack. This pack grants players a treasure trove of in-game content, including the Yubari Japanese Tier 4 Cruiser, a Port Slot, a Japanese Commander with three skill points, 444,444 credits, 44,444 Elite Commander XP, four Epic Permanent Camouflages, four Common Bonuses Containers, and four More Signals Containers. This offer also expires on March 20.

Mark your calendars!  Jurassic World Evolution 2 will replace Mortal Shell and the World of Warships pack as the Epic Games Store's free offering from March 20 to March 27.  While no replacement has been announced for Scheming Through the Zombie Apocalypse on Steam after March 18, stay tuned for more free game announcements in the coming weeks.
