The critically acclaimed roguelike platformer, Spelunky 2, is now officially available on PlayStation 5.  Previously playable on the PS5 via backward compatibility, this native release brings a significant enhancement: support for up to 120 frames per second, offering players a noticeably smoother gameplay experience on compatible displays.

Developed by Mossmouth and BlitWorks, Spelunky 2 initially launched in 2020 for PlayStation 4 and PC, followed by ports to Nintendo Switch and Xbox One and Series X/S in 2021 and 2022, respectively. Its replayability, extensive gameplay options, and engaging multiplayer component were particularly lauded.

In Spelunky 2, players take on the role of Ana Spelunky, daughter of the original game's protagonist, as she embarks on a lunar quest to find her missing parents. While the narrative provides context, the game's core appeal lies in its addictive roguelike gameplay loop.
