The Digimon Con 2025 livestream unveiled a wealth of information about the highly anticipated Digimon Story: Time Stranger, giving fans a closer look at the upcoming RPG adventure.

One of the most exciting reveals was the confirmation of the three starter Digimon players can choose from: Patamon, Gomamon, and DemiDevimon. These beloved Digimon from the original Digimon Adventure anime will be the first partners players can recruit and train as they embark on their journey.

Producer Ryosuke Hara also confirmed that the game will boast a roster of over 450 Digimon, offering players a wide variety of digital monsters to collect and battle with.  A new trailer showcased several fan favorites, including Angewomon, Gaogamon, and Renamon.

The storyline of Digimon Story: Time Stranger puts players in the shoes of either Dan Yuki or Kanan Yuki, secret agents working for the ADAMAS organization.  They are tasked with investigating a mysterious threat endangering both the human and digital worlds. The game will also feature Inori Misono and her partner Aegiomon, adding another layer of depth to the narrative.

Unlike previous Digimon Story games, Time Stranger will alternate between real-world locations like Shinjuku and Akihabara, and the Digital World of Illiad.  This dynamic setting promises a unique and engaging experience for players.

While Digimon Story: Time Stranger is set to launch in 2025, a specific release date is yet to be announced. Fans eager to dive back into the Digital World will have to stay tuned for further updates.
