Wuthering Waves 2.2 Leak: Cantarella's Infinite Swimming Ability and New Weekly Boss

A recent leak hints at a game-changing ability for Cantarella, the upcoming 5-Star Havoc Rectifier in Wuthering Waves Version 2.2.  According to leaked footage, Cantarella can seemingly swim infinitely, offering a unique advantage for exploring the game's vast open world.

Developer Kuro Games has already confirmed Cantarella's arrival in the next update.  Early glimpses of her design, featuring jellyfish motifs, have sparked speculation about their role in her kit. While initially believed to be combat-focused, it now appears these jellyfish may contribute significantly to exploration.

Leaked gameplay showcases Cantarella's distinctive swimming animations, considerably faster than other Resonators.  By utilizing a specific skill, she leaps from the water, momentarily floating with her jellyfish companions to regain stamina before diving back in.  Repeating this cycle purportedly grants her infinite swimming capability.  However, being beta footage, these abilities are subject to change before the official release.

Should this infinite swimming ability remain, Cantarella could become an invaluable asset for exploration in Wuthering Waves.  This reminds some players of Phoebe's hovering ability, which, through specific skill combinations, allows for extended aerial movement.  It's possible Cantarella will similarly require a particular skill rotation to maximize her swimming potential.

Previous leaks concerning Cantarella's signature weapon suggest a strong sub-DPS role for Havoc teams.  While she's the sole new 5-Star character in Version 2.2, Aero Rover is also rumored to debut.

Currently, Wuthering Waves Version 2.1 is in its second phase, featuring Changli's rerun banner and Brant's debut.  Rumors indicate Version 2.2 banners will showcase Cantarella in the first half, followed by The Shorekeeper and Camellya, a powerful Havoc DPS, in the second half.  The update, expected in late March, is set to introduce a new main story chapter, further exploring Phrolova's schemes and Cartethyia's true identity.
