Nintendo has announced an exciting seasonal event for Splatoon 3 players - the SpringFest Splatfest will run from April 11-13, 2025. This colorful competition lets players choose between Team Morning, Team Afternoon, or Team Night, battling to determine which time of day reigns supreme in Inkopolis.

The event marks a special return of Splatfest competitions after their conclusion in 2024, giving players one more chance to participate in this fan-favorite multiplayer mode before the potential launch of Nintendo's next console.

Splatoon 3 SpringFest Splatfest 2025

The SpringFest kicks off on Friday, April 11 at 8:00 PM Eastern Time. Players can currently pledge their allegiance during the Sneak Peek period by answering the question: "When do you get things done?" in the game's Pledge Box.

As with previous Splatfests, the three members of Deep Cut will represent each team:

  • Shiver leads Team Morning
  • Frye champions Team Afternoon
  • Big Man represents Team Night

The competition concludes on Sunday, April 13 at 8:00 PM Eastern, with results announced shortly after in-game.

Nintendo Switch Online members can collect special SpringFest user icons during the event. Additionally, players can redeem exclusive gear from Splatoon 2's Hare vs. Tortoise Splatfest, including the Pearlescent Squidkid IV shoes, through a promotional article in the Nintendo Switch News app.

To claim these nostalgic items:

  1. Open the News app on your Switch
  2. Find the SpringFest promotional article
  3. Launch Splatoon 3 from within the article
  4. Collect your rewards at the lobby terminal

The SpringFest follows the recent 9.3.0 update which introduced weapon balance changes and terrain modifications to Tricolor Turf War maps. While major content updates have concluded, Nintendo continues to support Splatoon 3 with periodic patches addressing bugs and performance issues.

Players can stay informed about future in-game events through the free Nintendo Today mobile app. With the rumored Nintendo Switch 2 launching in June 2025, this SpringFest might be one of the final Splatfest events for Splatoon 3 on the current Switch platform.

Splatfests represent more than just temporary events - they're celebrations of Splatoon's vibrant community. These limited-time competitions:

  • Bring players together for friendly competition
  • Offer unique rewards and bragging rights
  • Showcase the game's constantly evolving meta
  • Provide memorable moments in Splatoon's ongoing narrative

Whether you're an early riser (Team Morning), a midday marauder (Team Afternoon), or a night owl (Team Night), the SpringFest offers something for every Inkling and Octoling looking to make their mark before Splatoon potentially enters its next era.
