Niantic has implemented a significant change to the 'It's Not Over Yet' Special Research quest in Pokemon GO, offering relief to players previously stuck on page 4.  The original quest focused on the Legendary Pokemon Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom, requiring players to catch and fuse them.  This proved a difficult hurdle for many, especially given the limited availability of these Pokemon in raids.

The original page 4 tasks required catching Zekrom, catching Kyurem, and then fusing Kyurem. This presented a substantial challenge due to the limited-time availability of these Legendary Pokemon in raids. Recognizing the difficulty, Niantic has updated the quest with a more achievable set of objectives.

The updated 'It's Not Over Yet' Special Research now requires players to catch 50 Fire-type Pokemon, catch 50 Electric-type Pokemon, and use 50 Nanab Berries while catching Pokemon. This revision makes the quest significantly more accessible to a wider player base.

After completing the revised page 4, players will then progress to page 5, which involves winning five raids of any type. While this may still pose a challenge for players in rural areas with limited access to raids, it remains a more attainable goal compared to the original tasks. Completing raids also contributes to progress in the ongoing 'Might and Mastery' Special Research, specifically the task requiring players to win three raids.

The simultaneous progress across both Special Research quests provides an added incentive for players to engage in raid battles.  Furthermore, the XP earned through raiding contributes to another task within 'Might and Mastery'. While 'Might and Mastery' isn't fully completable at present, future updates promise further tasks and continuation of the storyline.

This update to 'It's Not Over Yet' is a welcome change for players struggling with the original objectives. It demonstrates Niantic's responsiveness to community feedback and their commitment to providing an engaging and rewarding gameplay experience.
