Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket is marking Pokémon Day 2025 with a generous gift for all players: three special booster packs from the Genetic Apex set.  Each pack is guaranteed to contain at least one rare card with a four-diamond rarity rating or higher, significantly boosting the odds of obtaining powerful cards.

The free packs are available to claim in-game until April 30, 2025. Players can find them in the gifts section located in the upper-right corner of their screens.

Originally launched in late October 2024, Pokémon TCG Pocket allows players to collect and battle with digital versions of Pokémon TCG cards.  The initial release featured the Genetic Apex set, with booster packs themed around Charizard, Pikachu, and Mewtwo.

This celebratory giveaway comes just ahead of the release of the new Triumphant Light expansion, set to launch on February 28, 2025.  This latest expansion, teased during the Pokémon Presents 2025 showcase, features a colorless Arceus ex card and introduces powerful new abilities for each remaining energy type that activate when Arceus ex is in play.

Alongside the expansion release, special in-game missions will be available from February 28 to March 27.  Rewards for completing these missions have yet to be announced, but based on previous events, players can anticipate rewards such as Wonder Hourglasses, Shop Tickets, Emblem Tickets, and decorative icons.  The Space-Time Smackdown event, for example, tasked players with collecting specific card varieties through pack pulls, Wonder Picks, and trades.
